Some updates about Project: RE.VE.LA.TION (remote vertical landing rocket control station), the Lunar Lander video game I’m developing for the ZX Spectrum home computer.
During last weekend, I was able to release a playable version and submit it to the Retroprogramming Italia group, which organized the Lander Challenge, within the deadline.
The features I added since the last update are:
- pixel-perfect collision detection,
- sound effects, powered by BeepFX,
- two playable levels.
I also published a video showing the gameplay of the first level:
However, I think it’s more fun to play the current version of the game, rather than watch the video, so here are the links to:
- download Project: RE.VE.LA.TION to play it on your ZX Spectrum or favorite emulator;
- play Project: RE.VE.LA.TION in your web browser.
Please note that I only tested the web browser version on a Windows PC using Firefox browser so, if you encounter problems with your device, you can always download Project: RE.VE.LA.TION and use it with your emulator of choice.
Happy landing!
